In conjuction with the National Juried Exhibition: Storyteller, Studio Potter wrote up an article Featuring myself and 6 other amazing ceramic artist.
"Ceramics have long been a vessel not only for function but for storytelling. This year Mud Flat Studio hosts the National Juried Exhibition, titled Storytellers, which brings together ceramic artists whose works reveal the depth and diversity of narrative within the medium. From personal journeys to cultural heritage, their pieces embody a dialogue between the artist and the viewer, each sculpted detail a word, each fired surface a page.
This exhibition explores the dynamic ways in which ceramics can hold stories – of tradition, transformation, and self-discovery. Studio Potter features seven of these distinct stories. Whether hand-built or wheel-thrown, these works do more than represent; they recount, preserve, and invite us to reflect. As you move through the exhibition, you will encounter seven remarkable voices, each capturing unique tales through clay. Their works are not just objects – they are storytellers. "
I am so excited to announce that I will be taking part in the inaugural Lowell Capacity- Building Cohort! I am beyond grateful to receive this grant and professional development opportunity. I have already felt this shift in my creative practice as a result of attending the workshops. I am certain that the 1 on 1 coaching will take my practice to another level. Thank you MassMoCA's Asset for Artist and Mosaic Lowell for seeing my potential.
